Dispatcher Supervisor Paratransit and DAR
Job Summary
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Transportation Division Manager or designee the Dispatcher and Supervisor Paratransit Dial-A-Ride performs road supervisor and/or dispatcher duties. Supervision encompasses all field operations including:
- Scheduling operators and vehicles handling passenger incidents maintaining appropriate dispatch paperwork answering telephones (including ADA calls) and responding to inquiries.
- Operating and monitoring radio notifying proper authorities of emergencies detours and breakdowns or other service interruptions.
- Coordinating and monitoring the performance of the Paratransit Ride-N-Kane and OnDemand routes utilizing Trapeze and OnDemand trip planner applications as well as other performance measurements.
- Generating and maintaining complete month end reports for NTD Paratransit Ride-N-Kane and OnDemand services.
- Liaison with Corporate Paratransit staff and assist with Revenue Services projects.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Age:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Education:
Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalency.
Experience:
Must have at least 5 years experience in transportation with good work history including attendance history; supervisory experience is preferred.
Certifications:
Must have or be able to obtain (within 6 months of being hired) a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License with air brake and passenger endorsements and have or obtain (within 6 months of being hired) a DOT card.
Proficiencies:
Must have extensive knowledge of Paratransit Ride-N-Kane and OnDemand services and service areas.
Must demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Excel and PowerPoint Trapeze OnDemand trip planner applications and the bus operators scheduling tablet.
Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to maintain professional composure when confronted with difficult situations; and make quick and accurate decisions.
Must be able to manage confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires sitting for extended periods typing on a computer and attending meetings.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a typical office setting with standard office equipment including a computer phone and desk space but the position may require occasional work outdoors in all weather conditions and requires operation of Pace vehicles under all weather conditions. Performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day and night and any day or night of the week. This position is not eligible for telecommuting or a hybrid work schedule.

Full Salary Range: $45060 - $98459
Salary Midpoint: $71759
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $58409 - $71759
