Job Summary
JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Dispatcher Motor Vehicle Lead to support Picatinny Arsenal LRC Maintenance Supply and Transportation services that support the installations mission.
Salary:$ 29.37 per hour
Start Date: August 30 2026
Place of Performance: Picatinny NJ
Hours of Operation: The core hours for the LRC are 0700-1530 Monday-Friday/ except federal holidays. May be required to work outside of core hours as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Motor Vehicle Dispatcher Lead oversees and coordinates motor vehicle dispatch operations in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) contract. The position ensures transportation services are conducted safely efficiently and in full compliance with DoD regulations federal transportation requirements and contract terms while providing leadership to dispatch personnel. Lead and manage daily dispatch operations for government-owned or contractor-operated vehicles. Assign vehicles and drivers based on mission priorities and DoD operational requirements. Supervise train and evaluate dispatch personnel. Ensure compliance with DoD directives installation policies and contract requirements. Maintain dispatch logs trip tickets and vehicle utilization records in accordance with DoD standards. Coordinate with fleet maintenance safety security and installation transportation offices. Monitor vehicle availability readiness and preventive maintenance schedules. Respond to mission changes emergency transportation requests and after-hours requirements. Prepare and submit required operational and performance reports. Support inspections audits and reviews conducted by government officials.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of DoD transportation and fleet operations.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations (e.g. DoD instructions installation policies).
- Ability to supervise personnel and manage daily operations.
- Proficiency with dispatch systems and record-keeping tools.
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience in motor vehicle dispatching or transportation operations.
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience supporting DoD or federal government operations.
- Valid state drivers license required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain installation driving privileges.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be a citizen of the U.S.
- Possess the ability to read write speak and comprehend English.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess knowledge and ability to perform simple arithmetic.
- Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Possess excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Possess the ability to work with minimal Government oversight.
