Successful candidates may work in a dining hall retail operation food court or restaurant job duties include:Washing dishes glassware & serving utensils bowls pots & pans using conveyor belt machine or by hand ensuring they are cleaned and the flow of the dish room by having a steady supply of clean dishes utensils and glassware ready for as needed with restocking and cleaning the beverage and dining area maintaining and restocking all public restrooms in the facility and removing all trash and must sweep and mop at the end of the with checking in food stock items breaking down pallets putting away food stock in a timely and organized manner and placing received items in appropriate storage necessary cleaning tasks in accordance with maintaining a Grade A Sanitation duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as is an hourly position that includes a State required 32-day break at the end of 11 months. Superior work performance may provide an opportunity to renew employment and/or advance into a benefits eligible permanent State Dining provides campus wide food services to students staff and faculty on the North Carolina State University Campus. NC State Dining operates 10 cafes 3 food courts and 6 dining halls 4 markets 1 restaurant vending a nutritional counseling service and a catering department.
