Dishwasher (PT-TempCasual)

** The PA Child Abuse State of PA Criminal Background Check and FBI Fingerprinting clearances are required to be submitted prior to employment

Part Time Casual Employees are hired on a seasonal basis during peak periods may serve a maximum of four consecutive months (i.e. summer/fall enrollment peak) and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week.

*Efficiently clean and sanitize all dishes pots pans utensils and kitchen equipment using both manual and machine methods.
* Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in appropriate storage areas ensuring easy access.
*Adhere to health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Monitor and manage the inventory of dishwashing supplies (detergents sanitizers etc.) and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
* Regularly check and maintain dishwashing equipment reporting any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
* Occasionally assist with basic food prep tasks when not engaged in dishwashing duties.

Qualifications/skills:
Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to stand for long periods lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Ability to work efficiently managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with students and supervisors.
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings as needed.
