Job Summary
Were looking for a Director to lead U.S. tax provision planning and compliance for the organization reporting to the Sr Tax this role youll own the income tax provision process end-to-end drive federal and state tax planning initiatives and manage a team while partnering closely with Accounting Finance Legal and Treasury. Youll also serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and advisors on U.S. tax matters. The ideal candidate should be an experienced tax leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong people-management and cross-functional influence. Key Responsibilities
- Own the quarterly and annual U.S. income tax provision process (ASC 740) including tax account reconciliations financial statement disclosures and technical tax memos and oversee the monthly close process.
- Lead U.S. federal and state tax planning including identifying evaluating and implementing planning opportunities to optimize the companys effective tax rate and cash tax position.
- Lead U.S. federal and state income tax compliance including review of tax returns estimated payments and extensions prepared internally or by external advisors.
- Oversee forecasting of the U.S. income tax rate and cash taxes to support quarterly guidance and long-range planning.
- Manage U.S. transfer pricing compliance and coordinate with international tax colleagues on cross-border planning withholding tax and Pillar Two implications.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors on U.S. tax provision matters and manage relationships with outside tax advisors and counsel.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting Finance Procurement Legal and Treasury at all levels of the organization.
- Manage mentor and develop tax team members building bench strength across the provision and compliance functions.
- Monitor U.S. tax legislative and regulatory developments and assess and communicate their impact on the company.
- Maintain and strengthen SOX internal controls over the tax provision and compliance process.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives leveraging tax technology to increase efficiency and accuracy across the tax calculation process.
- Lead or contribute to ad hoc tax projects including M&A restructuring and other special initiatives as priorities arise.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Tax or a related field required; Masters in Taxation a plus.
- CPA preferred
- 14 years of relevant tax experience ideally including time at a Big 4 accounting firm as well as significant in-house industry experience with prior people-management experience.
- High-tech industry experience in California required.
- Deep technical knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal and state income tax law.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Experience with OneSource tax software preferred.

The compensation range for this role is $Minimum Salary - $Maximum Salary. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills experience qualifications and geographic location.
