Director of Social Services

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH)in Bolivar Missouri is hiring a Director for our Social Services Department someone who leads with skill compassion and a drive to positivelyimpactevery patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: Full-Time
• Work Shift: Days
• Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

What Your Day Looks Like:You will provide strategic leadership and oversight of social services across hospital clinic long-term care and home care settings. This system role supports the leaders supervising social work teams ensures regulatory compliance implements discharge planning best practices and develops partnerships that strengthen access to community resources and support services.

As the Director of the Hospital Social Services Department you will be:

• Directing a team of social work professionals providing coaching performance management competency development and operational oversight.
• Collaborating with physicians nursing care management behavioral health and community partners to promote high-quality patient-centered care.
• Advancing initiatives addressing social determinants of health including access to healthcare medications transportation housing food resources and interpreter services.
• Serving as an organizational advocate for patient rights and quality care.
• Collaborating with administration to determine operational and capital budgetary needs and identifying improvement opportunities to implement for measurable results.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution required
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership position and three years of experience in a medical care setting required; hospital experience preferred.
• Skills:Previous leadership experience strongly preferred with demonstrated knowledge of team development conflict resolution critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Licensure/Certification:CPI training within one year of hire renewed annually per CMH policy. Public Notary preferred.
• Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the work shift.
