Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Director of Nursing for the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) on behalf of our client a hospital in Albuquerque New Mexico. The director leads the units management and nursing staff brings an extensive cardiac background and remains proficient enough in CVICU nursing to work at the bedside when staffing coverage requires it. The schedule is 1st shift a 40-hour week with no weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and daily operations of the cardiovascular ICU.
• Direct develop and support the units nursing staff.
• Provide bedside CVICU nursing care when needed for staffing coverage.
• Apply an extensive cardiac background to the care of cardiac surgical and cardiac critical care patients including ECMO LVAD open heart Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump patients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school; candidates without a BSN must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program with a scheduled completion date.
• Current RN license or a license acceptable to the state board.
• 3 years of CVICU experience including 2 to 3 years in a management capacity with recent CVICU experience.
• Extensive cardiac background in a cardiovascular ICU rather than a purely medical ICU.
• Clinical skills in ECMO LVAD open heart Impella and balloon pump care.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
