Director of Nursing

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Develop implement and monitor policies procedures and best practices in accordance with state federal and facility standards.
• Supervise mentor and support nursing staff fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
• Manage staffing schedules to maintain appropriate coverage across all shifts.
• Ensure compliance with infection control safety and quality assurance standards.
• Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain compliance with CMS and state regulations.
• Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning to meet individualized needs.
• Provide staff education and professional development opportunities.
• Manage budgets resources and department goals in alignment with facility objectives.
• Serve as a liaison with residents families physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum 35 years of nursing leadership experience preferably in skilled nursing/long-term care.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations including CMS guidelines.
• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated success in survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
