Overview:

As Director of Nursing at Atlantic Surgery Center you will serve as a vital leader designated by the Governing Board to drive clinical excellence patient care and regulatory mastery across our facility. We are seeking an energetic highly skilled Registered Nurse who excels at building collaborative physician partnerships and inspiring a high-performing clinical this dynamic role you will shape patient outcomes while partnering in strategic planning and management to ensure operational success. Responsibilities:

Assumes full responsibility for all aspects of the surgery center including Pre-Op PACU OR SPD and Clerical services reporting directly to the ASC Administrator.
Oversees the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Program while continuously developing maintaining and reviewing clinical policies procedures and quality assurance goals.
Assesses plans implements evaluates and coordinates high-quality patient care from admission to discharge.
Provides clear concise direction to staff sets clinical priorities and maintains efficient safe staffing schedules in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Interviews selects retains and engages qualified staff while providing ongoing teaching mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
Fosters a positive professional facility culture by communicating effectively with patients families staff and physicians in a considerate and courteous manner.
Ensures strict adherence to all regulatory compliance requirements and upholds the principles and policies of Atlantic Surgery Center.
Designates a Registered Nurse as Charge Nurse in the event of an absence and assumes key administrative responsibilities when the ASC Administrator is unavailable.

Facility Description:

The award-winning Atlantic Surgery Center (ASC) is a busy singleoperating room (OR) outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center specializing in ophthalmic procedures including cataract corneal and oculoplastic surgery. Due to continued growth the center is expanding to a two-OR facility within the next year.

Qualifications:

Experienced in Accreditation process and Regulatory requirements.
Strong knowledge in Nursing Principles Practice and Procedures.
Ability to prioritize tasks delegate effectively and problem solve under pressure.
Ability to communicate well with patients families staff and physicians.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree.
Active NJ Registered Nurse license.
Three years of nursing and management experience in a hospital setting or ambulatory surgery center.
Current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS certification where necessary.
