The Director of Human Resources is responsible for day-to-day HR operations including areas such as onboarding employee data management HR metrics employee relations policies & compliance and employee engagement. The Director will lead the following positions: HR Advisor HR Generalist Recruiter HR Coordinator and HR Assistants. As a team the HR Department will work to positively impact our company through consistent high-level performance and continuous improvement. This position will direct and collaborate with other programs such as compensation benefits performance management recruiting training & development. This role must be a leading example of MGEs core values.

This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience education skills and applicable knowledge.

How You Will Contribute
- Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations collective bargaining matters and employment decisions involving both union and non-union employees.
- Lead the companys compensation strategy overseeing pay structures and bands monitoring internal equity and ensuring compensation practices support organizational objectives and market competitiveness.
- Partner with legal counsel and executive leadership to oversee employment-related legal matters manage risk and provide leadership with timely updates and recommendations regarding significant issues and case status.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and oversee the organizations workforce and talent strategy aligning current and future staffing needs with recruiting retention succession planning and overall business objectives.
- Provide oversight and strategic guidance for talent acquisition efforts partnering with the HR Advisor and Recruiter to support staffing needs and ensure effective recruitment and selection practices.
- Plan lead develop coordinate and implement policies processes training and initiatives to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Facilitate professional development training and certification activities for HR staff.
- Provide leadership and support to the HR team management and other staff when complex specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodation investigations and terminations.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
- Performs other duties as required.
What You Bring to the Table
- Knowledge and experience in employment law compensation organizational planning recruitment organization development employee relations safety employee engagement and employee development.
- Must be a team player with excellent leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS Systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
Your Prior Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of verifiable human resource management experience overseeing a HR department.
- Bachelors degree in HR-Human Resources or related field preferred.
- PHR SPHR SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Pay: $150000.00 -$250000.00 annually.
