Director of Housing
Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS)provide clinical interventions and peer and family support tofacilitateengagement support functioning and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals and toassistindividuals in developing skillsestablishingnatural supports and resources to live successfully in the community.
As a member of the ACCSmanagementteam theDirector ofHousing willprovide oversight and mentorship toHousing Coordinatorsacross ACCS contracts.
TheDirector ofHousing will:
- be responsible fororienting newHousing Coordinators providing consultation toHousing Coordinatorsand other ACCS staffand managerseducatingthemandPersonsusingACCS services about tenancy issues housing rights and resources
- support Housing Coordinators in their duties as theyassistPersonswith applying for and attaining subsidies
- work with Personsto secure housing that meetstheir needsand will guide the Person in learning the skills necessary to maintain community housing
- provide some direct support to Persons using ACCS services as needed
- will work with Group Living Environment (GLE) House Managers GLE Directors ACCS Cliniciansand ACCS management (ACCS Program Directors and Clinical Directors) to helpfacilitate and nurture a culture of movement in the GLEs
- serve as the primary point of contact for developing relationships with landlords housing authorities and DMH Area housing staff to foster communication and provide advocacy
- guide and mentor Housing Coordinators in developing and maintaining relationships with landlords and housing authorities at the local level as appropriate
- assist other CLS division programs such as PACT and Clubhouses in any housing related matters
Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $70719.79/year

- Strong computer skills particularly in the use of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) andpresent effectively to the public
- Valid drivers license and available dependable transportation and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle as needed
- Bachelorsdegree with a minimum of5years related experience
- Housing advocacy experience preferred
- Property management experience preferred
