Position: Full-Time Live-Out Director of Household Operations
Schedule: Full-time typically 4060 hours per week depending on the familys schedule travel and events
Salary: $100000 per year depending on experience

Relocation: No local Palm Beach candidates preferred

A private Ultra High Net Worth family based primarily in Palm Beach Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Household Operations to oversee the daily operations staffing budgets and logistics of two luxury residences located in Palm Beach FL and Mt. Kisco NY.

This is a senior leadership position for a highly organized service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced private household environment. The Director of Household Operations will serve as the primary liaison between the family and household staff ensuring both residences operate seamlessly year-round. While Palm Beach will serve as the primary home base regular travel to the familys New York residence is required during their seasonal stay and for special events.

Household Staff: Multiple household staff across both properties

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of both residences ensuring each home runs efficiently and to the familys standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all household staff across both properties
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate daily coverage and support for family travel and special events
• Oversee staff PTO requests scheduling and overall workforce planning
• Monitor staff hours and overtime to ensure accurate tracking and efficient labor management
• Assist with hiring coordination onboarding training and performance management of household staff in partnership with the family
• Coordinate staffing for dinners entertaining and special events including arranging temporary staff and private chefs as needed
• Manage vendor relationships service providers and household contractors
• Oversee petty cash and household budgets while maintaining accurate expense records and financial reporting
• Monitor household purchasing and ensure expenses remain within budget guidelines
• Identify operational issues proactively and implement effective solutions
• Maintain exceptional standards for cleanliness organization and household service across both properties
• Travel to the familys Mt. Kisco NY residence as needed during seasonal occupancy and for household transitions or events

• Prior experience as a Director of Household Operations Estate Manager Household Manager or similar leadership role within a UHNW private household
• Experience managing multiple residences and household staff
• Strong knowledge of household budgeting petty cash management payroll scheduling and expense tracking
• Proven leadership organizational and communication skills
• Experience coordinating vendors contractors and event staffing
• High level of discretion professionalism and confidentiality
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work additional hours during busy periods or special events
• Must reside in or near the Palm Beach FL area
• Willingness to travel regularly to Mt. Kisco NY
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred
