The Briarwood Retirement Community is hiring a Director of Fund Development to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong fundraising donor relations and nonprofit development skills who is looking to grow in nonprofit development and philanthropy. Typical schedule is within MondayFriday with occasional weekend Manager-on-Duty rotation with flexibility based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate a portfolio of approximately 150 active donors and 40 corporate prospects with a budget of $500K to $1M Annually.
- Create and execute strategies for the Annual Appeal including spring and fall solicitations.
- Educate residents and supporters about Legacy giving opportunities.
- Assist the Executive Director in cultivating soliciting and stewarding donors capable of leadership and transformational gifts.
- Manage the annual golf outing donor appreciation events and timely donor acknowledgement and recognition.
- Supply information for Annual Report on all fundraising activities.
- Participate in Development Committee meetings.
- Maintain database to track residents record all donations and process memorial gifts.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- 3-5 years of progressive fundraising experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with donors residents Board members and community partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint); strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with Sage 50/Abila or equivalent development software is a plus.
- Previous nonprofit fundraising or development experience preferred.
