The role oversees the Engineering for the Hotel PrivateResidencesand commercial areas of the candidates willhave solid project management skillsa strongwork/ethic adaptabilityflexibilityand leadership Director of Engineeringprovidea high level of property maintenance including maintaining thebuilding grounds and physical plant with particular attention toward safety security and asset protection and is responsibleto planorganizedirectandcontrolthe work of the Engineering Team Members in the Engineering Division Contractor and include providingthe technicalservices building maintenance systems and overall administration of operations to providean exceptionalGuest Experience at the highest standard of quality.
Key Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Establish andprovide assistanceon adherence to policies and procedures (with standards benchmark best practices)
Planning and scheduling of renovations rectificationsalterationsand new projects
Review construction & design drawings to ensure future maintenance activities are not compromised
Monitor and implement systems toanalyzeand proactively manage energy consumption to reduce energy use and reducethe carbon footprint of the property.
Effectively implements methods and strategies for compliance with Four Seasons Corporate Social Responsibility policyESG and local codes.
Ensure all systems are regularly tested as required by local codes / AHJ by certified personnel.
Partner withDirectorof Security and Crisis Management Team to complete regular drills / evacuations.
Activelyparticipatesin hotels Chemical Safety / MDS / HACCP programs. Ensures the building / propertycomplies withallgovernment codes and regulations and keeps all applicable licenses and certificates of operation current and up to date.
Coordinate andmaintainafull Perfect Room Corridor and Outlets Program managed to ensure all areas are continuallymaintainedwith a minimum of one complete turn of property annually.
Assists General Manager / Resort Manager to oversee the Fire / Life Safety programs and risk management. Encourageproactive risk reporting assessment and mitigation.
Establish department operating budget for the submission to management covering costs of heatlight and power and maintenanceand repairs.
Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders and liaise effectively with theDirector of Finance and Director of Purchasing.
Communicate maintenance information and problems to the General Manager and Hotel Manageron a daily basis.
Ensure proper execution of work order/request system and that items are followed up on when necessary.
Ensure that meter readings are taken daily on heatlightand review information to evaluate consumption.
Ensure all personnel under the Director of Engineering are exposed to hotel internal and external training on anon-goingbasis.
Lead themodernization of equipment conduct regular audits ofefficiencyand Execute property Capital Expenditure plan in collaboration with property andOwnersrepresentatives
Present capexplan at HOA Board meetingsand advocate for necessary operational investments
Education
Higher education or equivalent experience
Trade school in mechanicsrefrigerationetc.
CEOE Certified Engineering Operations Executive from the Hotel and motel Hospitality Association Building Owners Management Institution (BOMI) designation Real Property Administrator (RPA) Facility Management Administrator (FMA)or Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA)
Experience:
Experience required by position is from twoto five years of employment in the relatedposition with Four Seasons or otherorganization.
Skills and Abilities:
Requires a working technical knowledge ofgeneral building maintenance.
Working knowledge isgenerally learnedon-the-Job or through a series of professionalcertifications.
Requires knowledge ofblue prints wiringdiagramsand hydraulics.
Ability to read and speak and write English.
Ability to administer projects and present effectively in meetings
Excellent communication skills-verbal and written. Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Computer literacy athigh levelto includeMicrosoft Windows environment Excel Word Access etc.
Ability to make sound business recommendations or decisions on assigned responsibilities.
A high degree of analytic ability and inductive thinking.
