Job Summary

Position Summary

The Director of District Excellence serves as a key member of the district leadership team providing high-level administrative support to the Superintendent to ensure the effective operation of all schools. This role provides strategic oversight for Premier High School coordinates district-wide testing oversees teacher pathways to certification and maintains related records and assists with facilities operations. The Director of District Excellence acts as a liaison across departments to uphold the districts mission and educational standards.

Core Responsibilities
Overall Administrator Support
  • Support the Superintendent in the execution of strategic district initiatives board-level reporting and policy development.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure operational alignment and efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in district-wide committees and represent the Superintendent in administrative capacities as assigned.
Teacher Pathways to Certification and Records Management
  • Develop and oversee pathways for teachers to achieve and maintain state certification.
  • Manage accurate records of teacher certification status professional development and licensure requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and campus leadership to monitor compliance with certification standards.
  • Provide guidance to staff on pathways to licensure and professional growth opportunities.
  • Maintain and monitor records for teacher RISE certification to ensure compliance with program requirements.
CTE Oversight and Support
  • Provide oversight for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs across the district.
  • Assist the Director of CTE in aligning program goals with district objectives and industry standards.
  • Collaborate on the development and evaluation of CTE curricula to ensure students are prepared for career readiness.
  • Support compliance reporting and resource allocation for CTE department.
LAUNCH Platform Oversight
  • Provide oversight for the statewide rollout and implementation of the Launch for Students (LFS) platform across the district.
  • Ensure compliance with state legislation including Arkansas LEARNS and ACCESS requirements.
  • Monitor district-wide adoption and usage of the platform to ensure it effectively connects students with rewarding career paths.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters degree in Education Educational Administration or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Experience: 5 years of successful experience in school or district-level administration.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of special education laws facility management and instructional leadership.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
