Job Summary
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise integration software engineering data engineering or platform architecture with increasing leadership responsibility.
5 years leading teams delivering integration programs across multiple systems and stakeholders.
Experience with enterprise integration tooling including Mulesoft SaaS integrations TIBCO Informatica or equivalent platforms data streaming technology and database/SQL proficiency.
Experience in financial services / auto finance or other regulated industries.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Technology/Information Management or closely related technical field.
Masters degree a plus.
Ability to understand macro-level requirements and convert them into actionable plans and technically sound products.
Strong communication and executive presence; able to influence without authority and lead in a matrixed environment.
Practical delivery-oriented leader with strong ownership mindset and bias for measurable outcomes.
Demonstrated experience modernizing and governing enterprise integration practices.
Experience with cloud integration modernization and data platform ecosystems.
Strong knowledge of integration patterns: APIs asynchronous messaging/eventing ETL/ELT file transfer orchestration and service design.
Hands-on experience building APIs and microservices and managing integration delivery lifecycle end-to-end.
Understanding of operational practices: observability incident/problem management SLAs/SLOs resiliency and performance tuning.
Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and support both assigned resources and colleagues from other internal departments or external stakeholders.
Proven record of accomplishment to influence and partner with the business and leaders to successfully drive large-scale organization initiatives.
Proven ability to work across levels and functions to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to articulate vision and direction communicate effectively manage and measure performance and accountability.
Ability to translate organizational strategy into operational plans policies and procedures.
Excellent written verbal and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal counseling and negotiation skills.
Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Director Enterprise Integration leads enterprise-wide integration and API capabilities delivered as application services and products. This role owns the design delivery and lifecycle management of integrations and APIs supporting multiple application teams. It drives standards for integration logic interface contracts orchestration data movement governance and developer experience. The Director partners closely with IT Infrastructure which operates the underlying integration platform runtime hosting and middleware services.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
1. Integration and API Strategy
Define and own the enterprise integration strategy spanning application integration and data integration.
Establish reference architectures and standard patterns for APIs messaging/eventing data streaming ETL/ELT file-based exchange and orchestration.
Provide architectural governance to ensure integration solutions are scalable maintainable secure and aligned to business capabilities.
2. API Product Ownership & Lifecycle Management
Own API product lifecycle including design standards versioning strategy consumer onboarding and retirement policies
Promote API-as-a-product principles with clear ownership consumer experience and measurable adoption outcomes.
Establish interface contracts data standards and versioning strategies to minimize breaking changes and reduce point-to-point integrations.
3. Integration Development Delivery & Enablement
Own engineering practices for integration development: design reviews coding standards testing/automation CI/CD alignment release management and documentation.
Drive adoption and effective use of integration tools and platforms (e.g. Mulesoft TIBCO Informatica AWS SaaS integrations or equivalents) as well as API data streaming and microservices frameworks.
Establish reusable components shared services templates and patterns to reduce cycle time and improve consistency.
4. Operational Reliability
Own application-level reliability and service health for integration and API services.
Define consumer-facing SLAs and SLOs for integration services in partnership with IT Infrastructure.
Partner with Infrastructure teams on incident response capacity planning and performance management related to integration platforms.
Ensure integrated systems meet availability performance and recovery expectations partnering with infrastructure/platform teams where required.
5. Governance Risk and Compliance
Establish and enforce integration standards across: Interface contracts and versioning Logging and auditability Data handling retention and Error handling patterns and exception taxonomies.
Partner with Security Risk Compliance and Data Governance teams to ensure integrations meet enterprise requirements and regulatory expectations.
6. Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
Serve as a strategic partner to application product and business leaders to understand integration needs and priorities.
Provide transparent prioritization roadmap visibility and progress reporting to executive stakeholders.
Resolve conflicts and trade-offs across teams by aligning on measurable outcomes.
Establish engagement and intake models for application teams consuming integration and API services
7. People Leadership
Lead mentor and develop team members by providing direction performance expectations and feedback and support to ensure effective collaboration professional growth and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
Define operating model roles skills development and hiring strategy to mature integration capability
