Director, Corporate Strategy Group

The Corporate Strategy Group partners with R&D Commercial and other leaders to drive mission-critical initiatives that support the long-term ambitions of the enterprise and make a meaningful difference for AbbVies patients.

The Director Corporate Strategy Group will be responsible for driving high-impact strategic initiatives facilitating robust enterprise-level strategic planning and monitoring and assessing AbbVies external environment. This highly visible role provides exposure to executive leadership and may serve as a pathway to broader leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate enterprise discussions on external trends competitor strategies and potential disruptors and translate these to strategic choices
• Shape our corporate priorities; drive clarity and alignment on our sources of growth (therapeutic areas modalities platform capabilities etc.)
• Lead high-priority strategic initiatives that will drive transformative change and position AbbVie for future success
• Provide targeted support for AbbVies long-range strategic planning process including working with leaders to share their strategies with AbbVies Board of Directors
• Partner with and advise senior leadership team on topics relevant to their own functional areas
• Support communication of AbbVies strategy across the enterprise

Qualifications :

• Masters degree required; PhD or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. Medicine Sciences etc.) preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm with healthcare experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and drive alignment across senior leaders; ability to influence without authority
• Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of financial concepts
• Strong oral facilitation and written communication skills with ability to distill complex information into clear messages and deliverables
• Executive presence comfort with ambiguity and strong judgment
• This is a hybrid role requiring at least three (3) days onsite Tuesday through Thursday in our North Chicago IL offices.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

• This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive programs.
