Job Summary
The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position leading the Bond Facilities and Development department. Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services plans directs and oversees the work of the Districts facility renovation modernization and new construction the design development and analysis of school building construction and modernization projects. The Director also serves as the professional liaison with the State Department of Education the Office of Public School Construction Division of the State Architect and other governmental career opportunity is an exempt management 8 hours/day 12 months/year position with paid holidays sick leave vacation and comprehensive benefits that include medical dental vision and life insurance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelors degree in business administration engineering architecture facilities planning construction management or another directly related field.Experience: Five (5) years of full-time school district or public agency experience in some phase or architecture construction or facilities management. At least two years of experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURESThis is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The recruitment process will consist of the following: an application and supplemental question response evaluation and structured oral interview(s). To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the process. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill the current and any future vacancies for one year (12 months). If a veterans credit is claimed proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or before testing.
