About this position

This position plays a pivotal leadership role within Carriers accounting organization ensuring the integrity accuracy and compliance of financial operations across a dynamic business unit. The role is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of accounting activities in alignment with US GAAP SOX requirements and established internal control frameworks. As a trusted partner to crossfunctional teams this position provides timely reliable financial insights that support strategic decisionmaking at the leadership level.

The successful candidate will guide and develop a team of accounting professionals fostering operational excellence while driving continuous improvement across processes reporting and controls. With accountability for financial statement preparation consolidation activities and the execution of periodend close this role ensures transparency compliance and consistency in financial outcomes. Leveraging deep technical expertise and strong analytical capabilities the position helps shape accounting standards resolves complex issues and safeguards the organizations assets through sound policies and effective governance.

For this onsite position the work location could be in one of the following locations: Palm Beach Gardens(FL) / Charlotte (NC) / Syracuse (NY) / Indianapolis (IN).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leads multiple teams and manages activates processes and large-scale projects for a large organization.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of general ledger preparation project and /or government accounting activities to maintain proper functioning of the unit.
  • Ensures accurate and timely consolidations closing of financial statements and compliance activities are performed.
  • Determines policies procedures and controls are in place to protect company assets.
  • Directs and reviews the preparation and presentation of management reports and / or corporate reporting requirements to ensure integrity of information and keep management updated on key information.
  • Guides the team on a wide variety of complex accounting and business issues to help resolve the issues.
  • Develops standards and make strategic decisions based on the knowledge of accounting concepts wide-ranging experience superior analytical skills and knowledge of industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting / finance / business administration / economics / commerce.
  • 10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • 8 years applying U.S. GAAP in monthly quarterly and annual close processes.
  • 5 years experience designing executing and testing SOX controls and internal control frameworks.
  • 5 years experience leading teamsand/ormanaging crossfunctional projects.
  • 8 years experience using Excel at an advanced level (pivot tables complex formulas macros).

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Masters Degree in accounting / Finance.
  • Certified CPA or CMA is strongly preferred.
  • 3 years experience with SAP
  • Demonstrated success communicating with senior leaders collaborating across functions and presenting financial information clearly.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $174500.00 - $348500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include but are not limited to skills education experience and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to both short and long-term incentives subject to plan requirements.
