Position Overview
The position will assist with serving meals and beverages bussing tables and cleaning the dining area.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Serve residents meals take orders and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
- Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system.
- Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
- Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
- Inform residents what foods are available on the days menu.
- Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes.
- Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
- Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled.
- Clear tables as needed throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished.
- Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents community operations and personnel.
- Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
- Other duties as assigned
Education Experience and Other Requirements
- Must be age 16 or older
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to read write and comprehend the English language
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
- Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
- Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
- Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing walking and moving about without the need to sit down
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and help others
- Enjoyment in working with older adults
- Some experience in food service is preferred
