Lakeside Book Company is looking for a Press Assistant 2 to join our digital printing center team! Press Assistants perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. This position offers the opportunity to promote quickly to Press Operator. We will provide you with all the training you need to be Rate: $23.10 (Base $21.00 10% Shift Differential)Work Hours: Night shift: 6pm-6am Mon Tue Fri Sat Sun Wed ThursLocation: 2347 Kratzer Rd; Harrisonburg VA 22802 and 1025 Willow Springs Rd; Harrisonburg VA 22801As a Press Assistant 2 you will:Set up and adjusts machines for production runsTroubleshootOperate binding/finishing/packing equipmentCoordinate job for crewmembersAssist in training new employeesReceive training to help advance your careerQualifications:Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeMust have the ability to achieve forklift certification through in house trainingAbility and desire to learn and work with others in a teamwork environmentMachine experience and/or strong mechanical aptitude requiredAt Lakeside Book Company we value craftsmanship and collaboration by encouraging employees to improve their skills and capabilities.
