Jump is looking for a Digital Modem Engineer to join our world class wireless this role you will you will lead the design and development of custom low-latency modem architectures for our point-to-point wireless networks around the globe.
What Youll Do:
- Design simulate and realize innovative physical layer wireless communication algorithms for low latency applications
- Implement modem/system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off and enable RTL development
- Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with power and area efficient implementation
Skills Youll Need:
- At least 5 years of experience in the design build and deployment of digital modem systems
- Deep knowledge and demonstrated experience in digital modem design including
- Transmit and receive pulse shaping digital filter design
- Symbol rate throughput latency and spectral occupancy analysis and optimization
- Carrier/symbol clock offset tracking and recovery
- Adaptive equalization using blind training-based and decision-directed algorithms
- Channel modeling and simulation
- Fixed point design simulation and analysis
- Experience with Python C/C and/or Matlab for algorithm development modeling (floating-point and fixed-point) and link-level simulation
- MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Reliable and predictable availability
Bonus Points:
- Experience in logic design for wireless modem FPGAs ASICs or custom data-path components for DSP applications (sequential and arithmetic components)
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave components: oscillators mixers attenuators amplifiers couplers isolators Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) layout

Annual Base Salary Range
$150000 - $250000 USD
