Digital Marketing Intern

Position Overview

Dark Matter is seeking a motivated Digital Marketing Intern to join our Marketing team. This role is ideal for a student eager to gain real-world experience in social media email marketing and campaign execution within a fast-paced technology company.

As a Digital Marketing Intern you will work closely with the Growth Marketing Director and Marketing team owning day-to-day execution of social media and email programs and supporting broader campaign work across the department.

• Schedule publish and monitor posts across company social channels (LinkedIn)
• Support content calendar planning and light copywriting for posts
• Track engagement metrics and flag trends or opportunities

Email Marketing

• Build and send email campaigns
• Support list segmentation and basic email QA (links formatting target lists)
• Monitor open/click performance and report on results

Campaign Execution

• Assist with day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns across channels
• Coordinate timelines and assets with the marketing team
• Maintain organized records of campaign activity and deliverables
• Opportunity to share strategic insights and takeaways from campaigns

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing Communications Business or a related field
• Active user of LinkedIn social platform with an interest in professional/B2B content
• Organized reliable and comfortable managing multiple small tasks/deadlines at once
• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with:

• Asana
• HubSpot or other Email Platform
• Clear understanding of digital marketing principles.
• Interest in SaaS fintech mortgage technology or B2B marketing.

• Real-world experience working on a nationally recognized technology brand.
• Exposure to execution of integrated marketing campaigns product marketing and event marketing.
• Mentorship from experienced marketing and creative professionals.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a high-growth technology environment.
• Direct hands-on experience running social and email programs for a B2B tech company
• Exposure to marketing operations and how campaigns tie to pipeline and revenue
