What You Will Do
  • Lead and support Dietary Aide staff to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service quality.
  • Oversee front-of-house operations in Borden Webster and Anderson when serving as the Culinary Manager on Duty.
  • Train and mentor new team members including instruction on the Cubigo system and organizational procedures.
  • Conduct audits provide feedback and guide staff through performance improvements.
  • Ensure dining areas meet sanitation infection control and safety standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment while holding staff accountable to organizational expectations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents staff and administration through active engagement in all dining areas.
  • Complete daily closing paperwork and ensure all checklists and responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Address resident concerns promptly professionally and with compassion.
  • Promote an environment that protects the health well-being and rights of residents and staff.
  • Participate in required training including in-service education and Relias courses.
  • Uphold Kendal at Lexingtons Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous food service experience preferred with leadership experience considered a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train motivate and support team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Dependability flexibility and a willingness to work a varied schedule.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with residents families and coworkers.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for approximately 90% of the workday.
  • Frequent stooping bending stretching and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift carry push and hold up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures including exposure to ovens and freezers.
  • May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals odors and communicable diseases.
