Job Summary
Location: 16412 Los Gatos Blvd Los Gatos CA 95032
Pay Range: $20.00 $23.00 per hour
Shift: Part-Time AM and PM
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
- Therapeutic Specialization: Accurately prepare food for therapeutic and modified diets including low-sodium diabetic and texture-modified (pureed) options.
- Food Safety: Maintain 100% compliance with local state and federal sanitation and infection control standards.
- Kitchen Operations: Monitor and record food temperatures label and rotate inventory and maintain a clean organized workstation.
- Resident Interaction: Ensure food quality and presentation meet facility standards while interacting positively with residents and guests.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the Dietary Director and nursing staff to ensure appropriate nutrition for every resident.
- Experience: Previous cooking experience in a healthcare hospital or long-term care facility is highly preferred.
- Certification: Valid ServSafe or California Food Handlers certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of modified diets portion control and food safety sanitation.
- Skills: Ability to follow standardized recipes manage time in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in a commercial kitchen setting.
