Were looking for a Dietary Cook for our Dayton location who takes pride in preparing meals that nourish both body and spirit.

What Youll Do

Meal Preparation & Cooking

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu and dietary guidelines
• Adapt recipes to accommodate allergies restrictions and individual preferences

Meal Delivery & Catering

• Deliver meals to local DeCoach housing locations
• Support monthly catering events

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Follow proper food handling and storage protocols
• Keep kitchen appliances and equipment clean and organized
• Meet health department standards and facility policy

Menu Management

• Collaborate with the dietary manager on menu planning and updates
• Manage portion control and reduce food waste

Inventory & Supplies

• Track food supplies and flag replenishment needs
• Ensure ingredients are fresh and high quality

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with dietary aides for smooth service
• Communicate with nursing staff and dietitians on resident-specific dietary needs

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Drivers License
• Cooking experience in healthcare hospitality or a similar setting preferred
• Working knowledge of special diets (low sodium diabetic etc.)
• Strong culinary and knife skills
• Excellent time management and organization

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a hot fast-paced kitchen environment
