As a Diesel Mechanic youll play a vital role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes filter replacements inspections and scheduled services.
- Diagnose mechanical electrical and engine performance issues using advanced diagnostic software and tools.
- Repair and replace components such as engines fuel systems brakes suspension steering and electrical systems.
- Perform DOT inspections and comprehensive vehicle safety inspections.
- Test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians to complete repairs efficiently.
- 35 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment and software.
- Solid knowledge of diesel engines electrical systems brakes suspension and drive-train components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid drivers license required (CDL is an asset but not required).
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour depending on experience skills and certifications.
