• 2^nd/3^rd shift schedule (3pm 1am with some flexibility)
• 4 day work week Monday-Thursday

Job Summary
The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for inspecting diagnosing repairing and performing preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. This role ensures the fleet remains safe operational and compliant with safety regulations while minimizing downtime.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on company trucks and trailers
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical electrical or safety issues.
• Diagnose and repair engines transmissions brakes electrical systems suspension and other components of trucks and trailers
• Use computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for each vehicle
• Ensure vehicles meet DOT OSHA and company safety standards
• Communicate with fleet manager about maintenance needs and repair timelines
• Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and hydraulic systems
• Ability to use hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Welding experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Vocational training or automotive/diesel technology certification preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• Valid drivers license
• Own tool set
• Trailer Maintenance experience a plus

Detroit native Tim Sullivan along with his brother Mike founded Sullivan Brothers Construction on the east side of the state. However after seeing his friends thrive in the beer distribution business Tim decided to make a change purchasing Grand Rapids B&B Beer in 1977.
