Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to support the development validation and performance optimization of diesel engine aftertreatment systems. This individual will play a key role in testing analyzing troubleshooting and improving emissions control technologies including SCR DPF DOC and DEF/urea systems.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of diesel emissions and aftertreatment systems with hands-on experience in testing validation data analysis and root cause investigation. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams suppliers and testing organizations to ensure system performance and compliance requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and validation of diesel engine aftertreatment systems and emissions control technologies.
  • Evaluate performance of SCR DPF DOC DEF and related emissions reduction systems.
  • Conduct testing and validation activities on engines vehicles and laboratory test setups.
  • Analyze test data and identify performance issues trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead troubleshooting efforts related to emissions system performance.
  • Investigate failures and develop corrective actions through structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Work with calibration controls validation and product engineering teams to improve system performance.
  • Collect and analyze signals from vehicle and engine testing activities.
  • Support emissions compliance and performance verification initiatives.
  • Interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and drive improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to engineering and leadership teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Automotive Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in diesel engines emissions systems aftertreatment systems or powertrain validation.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction)
  • DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)
  • DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst)
  • DEF/Urea systems
  • Diesel emissions systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience analyzing engineering test data and developing technical recommendations.
  • Familiarity with testing and validation processes.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA or CANape.
  • Experience with CAN-based tools such as CANalyzer CANoe Vehicle Spy or similar.
  • Diesel engine performance combustion or aftertreatment development experience.
  • Experience supporting engine vehicle or emissions testing programs.
  • Knowledge of catalyst technologies coatings substrates chemical reactions or emissions reduction strategies.
  • Experience working with suppliers and external testing partners.
  • Background in emissions compliance certification or regulatory validation.
