DevSecOps Engineer MID

Marathon TS is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a high-visibility Navy AI/ML initiative focused on predictive analytics and operational readiness. This role will support the development deployment and security of cloud-based applications by integrating security best practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline.

The DevSecOps Engineer will work closely with software engineers data scientists and cybersecurity personnel to ensure applications are scalable secure and compliant with DoD standards.

• Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
  

• Embed security automation throughout the software development lifecycle
  

• Support cloud infrastructure deployments (AWS and/or Azure)
  

• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker Kubernetes)
  

• Perform vulnerability scanning remediation and compliance validation
  

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices
  

• Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives
  

• Monitor system performance availability and security posture
  

• Assist with documentation and compliance artifacts as required
  

• DevSecOps / DevOps experience in secure environments
  

• CI/CD tools (GitLab CI Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar)
  

• Containerization: Docker
  

• Orchestration: Kubernetes
  

• Cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure
  

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation ARM)
  

• Scripting languages (Python Bash or similar)
  

• Security scanning tools (SAST DAST container scanning)
  

• Experience supporting compliance-driven environments (DoD preferred)
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
  

• 5 years experience in DevOps / DevSecOps or related engineering role
  

• Experience supporting DoD or federal programs preferred
  

• AWS or Azure certification
  

• Security or equivalent security certification
  

• Kubernetes or DevOps-related certifications a plus
