Job Title: Devops/Data Engineer

Location: San Ramon CA (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate Range: $75 to $80

Responsibilities

Data Engineering

• Design develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration and processing.
• Build and optimize data models data warehouses and data lakes.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs databases and cloud platforms.
• Monitor and improve data quality integrity and performance.
• Support batch and real-time data processing workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and system issues.

DevOps Engineering

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application and infrastructure deployments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system health application performance and infrastructure reliability.
• Automate operational tasks deployments and environment provisioning.
• Support incident response troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Manage cloud services and environments across AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement security backup disaster recovery and compliance best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize scalability performance and cost efficiency.
• Maintain system documentation deployment procedures and operational standards.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with developers analysts and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and project planning.
• Provide technical support for production and non-production environments.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or related field.
• 4 years of experience in Data Engineering DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python SQL Bash or Java.
• Experience with ETL tools and big data technologies such as Spark Kafka or Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and system administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake Databricks Redshift or BigQuery.
• Cloud or DevOps certifications (AWS Azure Kubernetes Terraform etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana Prometheus Splunk or Datadog.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
