Position Summary:
We are seeking afull-time Development Manager (DM) to support the Development and Communications team. The Development Manager is responsible for managing an independent portfolio of funders and donors overseeing the operations of the development office including stewardship processes database management donor data documentation reporting analytics and administrative support. The DM works with the entire development team and measures the impact of fundraising stewardship and outreach efforts through analytics ensuring data integrity and identifying and soliciting new funding resources particularly from BIPOC Women-Centric and Faith-Based individuals/ addition to managing a portfolio of funders/donors that include individuals foundations corporations and civic/faith groups the DM also manages the Gifts in Kind program and provides key administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages the development database (Salesforce) and ensures the system contains complete and accurate records related to all aspects of fundraising.
  • Oversees management of the online giving portal (GiveSmart) and supports the team with all functionalities of this system.
  • Performs key administrative and database management functions including philanthropic gift processing gift acknowledgment letter preparation documentation of donor correspondence segmentation of reports/lists tracking communication activities analysis of results from digital and mailed fundraising and marketing efforts creating and maintaining fundraising and marketing reports (including identification of new prospects retention/stewardship strategies growth opportunities fundraising performance etc.) managing donor portfolio updates tracking department expenses and managing credit card receipts/statements.
  • Serves as the main point of contact with the finance department to ensure accurate weekly and monthly reconciliation and provide information/documentation needed for the annual audit and 990.
  • Manages the coordination of the in-kind program including solicitation processing acknowledging organizing and distributing to departments.
  • Manages NAP tax credit process including application reporting and tracking.
  • Manages solicits and stewards a portfolio of donors/funders that includes individuals foundations corporations and civic organizations to ensure that established annual fundraising goals are achieved.
  • Works with the Development Director and Vice President to plan and solicit sponsorships for the Premier Partner Program.
  • Provides support in planning and executing fundraising events of all sizes.
  • Supports the Development Director in managing the Community Board including recruitment communications and logistical/administrative support.
  • Supports the Development Director and Vice President of Development & Communications with the Board Resource Development Committee mailings and meeting minutes as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years relevant work experience (non-profit and/or fundraising)
  • Advanced donor CRM experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook);
  • Knowledge of community-centric fundraising and development best practices;
  • Strong research analytical and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Organized with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Commitment to ChildSavers mission and organizational values of diversity integrity passion relationships and knowledge of all platforms within Microsoft Office software (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience working with SalesForce
  • Knowledge and experience with community-centric fundraising best practices
