The MAGIC team (Multi Account Governance in the Cloud) is a part of Amazon Securitys Amazon Cloud Management Foundations (ACMF) group in the Secure Tools Foundation (STF) division. We own platforms and tools to deploy proactive security controls to Amazon-owned accounts. Our primary mission enables the use of AWS Organizations and Service Control Policies (SCPs) as preventative security controls. We monitor internal accounts to ensure that every account has the correct proactice security controls in place. MAGIC also maintains and operates a suite of account metadata services which support other Tier 1 services.

Key job responsibilities
Work closely with our internal customers to help alleviate their problems and meet their demands.
Work on new designs/solutions bringing them from concept to launch and operations.
Create and update our infrastructure and security standards and ensure that the systems adheres these standards.
Review and implement changes on the systems utilizing thorough test plans.
Lead efforts to drive automation teams to assist in defining the tools we require.
Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our system quality and reliability.
Work with a wide range of technologies.
Work on a variety of hardware platforms across multiple vendors.

- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of engineering experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- 3 years of Software Engineer Software Developer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle experience
- 1 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java C# or C experience
- 1 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture experience
- 1 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
