Development Coordinator

This is a hybrid position with proximity to Charlottesville VA and an expectation of at least three days in office per week. The Development Coordinator provides high-level programmatic and administrative support for TNC-Virginias Development team including streamlining operations and coordination across high-priority fundraising event and program initiatives and fundraising engagement activities and strategies. This role collaborates closely with the Director of Development the Development Operations team and cross-functional teams serving as a resource for fundraisers and program leaders. The Coordinator will help manage complex calendars communications and special projects supporting the organizations mission and strategic goals.

• Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination.

• Experience in business writing editing and proofreading.

• Experience with calendar management.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience coordinating projects and meeting deadlines.

• Ability to analyze information for the purpose of preparing reports coordinating efforts and solving problems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Ability to write and edit written materials for use with donor solicitations member communications and special events.

• Strong organization and negotiating skills accuracy attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff.

• Experience with current technology in relevant field and database management.

• Experience with creating and managing project timelines and budgets.

This position requires a valid drivers license and compliance with TNCs Auto Safety Program. Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles rental cars or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered high risk drivers. Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement which may include a review of the prospective employees motor vehicle record.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $29.50 - $32.50 per hour. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidates actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors including for example the candidates location qualifications specific skills and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
