Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Developer to support a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative focused on transforming legacy Mainframe applications into modern platforms using AI-assisted code conversion automated remediation and modernization factory approaches.

This role requires deep hands-on expertise in enterprise Microsoft technologies backend engineering distributed systems and modernization of complex legacy applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with Mainframe modernization teams to support application conversion remediation integration functional equivalence validation and cloud enablement efforts.

The candidate should possess strong expertise application architecture APIs database modernization cloud environments DevOps and enterprise integration patterns while collaborating across distributed engineering and modernization teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop enhance and support enterprise-grade applications using modern Microsoft technologies frameworks
• Participate in large-scale modernization and migration initiatives involving automated and AI-assisted code conversion
• Work with converted remediated and refactored code generated through modernization pipelines and transformation tools
• Translate existing Mainframe business functionality into scalable maintainable and application components
• Develop RESTful APIs gRPC services backend services Windows services and distributed integration solutions
• Build and Windows Console jobs scheduled batch processes and Windows Scheduler-based automation workflows
• Collaborate closely with Mainframe SMEs architects QA teams business analysts DevOps engineers and modernization teams
• Refactor and optimize converted code to align with engineering standards design patterns and modern architecture principles
• Support remediation stabilization integration testing regression testing and modernization validation activities
• Contribute to modernization of factory processes migration accelerators automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Build scalable and high-performance applications optimized for reliability maintainability and operational efficiency
• Support enterprise database modernization data migration DB2 integration and SQL Server optimization activities
• Participate in troubleshooting root cause analysis debugging performance tuning and production support activities
• Develop and support DevOps automation CI/CD pipelines deployment processes and infrastructure integration activities
• Work in cloud and hybrid environments including AWS and Azure ecosystems
• Collaborate with Mainframe teams to validate functional equivalence between legacy and modernized systems
• Develop technical documentation implementation artifacts deployment guides and operational runbooks
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices and engineering governance

• Prior experience supporting government financial tax healthcare or other large enterprise modernization programs
