We are looking for a full-time Design Engineer to join our growing Orlando team. This position will design structural systems for a variety of construction types in a variety of industries such as manufacturing distribution data centers commercial industrial and parking.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with Project Manager/Engineer of Record in the development of project design calculations and developing assessment reports
Performs analysis of existing structures
Develop drawings or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations
Assists in project coordination and meetings with the internal and external team members
Reviews project submittals and shop drawings
Visits projects during construction to learn construction practices and to provide on-site construction observation
Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem solving
Interacts with higher level engineers and design technicians.
Attends client architect and contractor meetings
Learns to engage with potential clients to expand business relationships
Performs calculations per design specifications and industry standards
Utilizes Structural Design Software such as RAM Structural Systems ETBAS SAFE SAP RAM Elements and TEKLA
Shares information across all disciplines to confirm deliverables are compliant with client expectations and established quality standards
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Civil Engineering with 1-3 years of related experience or Masters in Civil Engineering
Proficient knowledge and experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD
EIT preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication skills are required.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities presented.
Effective in an entrepreneurial culture working independently and as part of a team.
