Job Summary
CISAs Integrated Operations Division (IOD) is the hub for staying on top of threats and emerging risks to our nations critical infrastructure whether theyre of cyber communications or physical origin. Through IOD CISA coordinates situational awareness and response to national cyber communications and physical incidents.

Typical work assignments include but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative and technical supervision to assigned staff necessary to support the accomplishment of the voluntary and regulatory activities conducted in the region.
- Leading the resource planning and management activities for the region of responsibility and establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff.
- Planning for and deploying regional personnel in response to and recovery from natural or man-made incidents.
- Building trusted partnerships and providing DHS tools training programs and resources to enhance regional cyber physical and communications infrastructure security and resilience with federal state and local and private sector partners.
- Representing the agency by speaking at working groups external conferences interagency meetings and other forums.

- This position has been identified as a drug testing designated position (TDP) for purposes of the CISAs Drug-Free Workplace Program. All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to a drug test to screen for illicit/illegal drug use prior to receiving a final offer of employment. A final offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test result. After appointment you may be subject to periodic random drug testing.
- As a condition of employment for accepting this position you will be serving in a position in Schedule Policy/Career of the Excepted service. You will obtain competitive status after two years of service in this position if applicable. Your employment in this position will be at-will. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) appeals of adverse actions concerning performance discipline and other matters arising under chapters 23 43 and 75 of title 5 United States Code will not be available to an individual serving in this position. You qualify at the GS-15 grade level if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level (or equivalent) performing all the following duties:
- Supervising assigned regional personnel including first and second line supervisors;
- Providing leadership and strategic direction in the development and execution of policies and strategic program plans;
- Planning and fully managing classified and unclassified outreach in response to cyber physical and communications threats; AND
- Leading outreach and coordination efforts with strategic partners in the region.

- The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the minimum base pay GS-15 step 1 up to the maximum base pay GS-15 step 10. This announcement covers multiple locations. - Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a one-year probationary period. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
