Job Summary

About the role

RCN Technologies delivers POTS replacement managed connectivity and cellular networking to government agencies schools utilities and commercial customers. The Deployment Project Coordinator owns our strategic deployments from the moment a deal closes until the customer signs off on the install. You are the customers single point of contact and the person who keeps sales procurement the NOC and field teams moving on the same schedule. Most of your projects will be multi site POTS replacement deployments.

What you will do

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders and site contacts throughout deployment: run kickoffs review scope of work and documentation schedule installs answer questions and communicate status before the customer has to ask.

Take handoff of closed deals from the sales team and own them through delivery.

Meet with sales weekly to understand the upcoming pipeline and build strategic jobs into the deployment forecast including planned field hours.

Coordinate hardware orders with procurement and finance so equipment is ordered staged and shipped to match the install schedule.

Work with the NOC and provisioning team to confirm each site is provisioned and configured to spec before the install window.

Schedule and direct third party field vendors or internal technicians track completion and close out project documentation.

Track deployment status flag risks early and report progress to the Director of Operations.



Requirements

What we are looking for

2 or more years coordinating projects installs or field work ideally in telecom low voltage IT services or construction.

Strong professional communicator who is comfortable owning a customer relationship and keeping many contacts informed at once.

Organized and detail oriented; able to run several multi site projects in parallel without losing track of any of them.

Comfortable working across sales procurement network and field teams and holding others to a schedule.

Proficient with Microsoft 365; experience with a CRM ticketing or project tracking system is a plus.

Familiarity with POTS lines cellular routers or telecom provisioning is a plus not a requirement. We will teach the technology; we need you to bring the coordination and customer skills.
