Job Summary

H2M architects and engineers is seeking a Department Manager to join our well-established Troy NY office. We seek a dynamic professional engineer to direct projects manage client relations and develop and manage our Mechanical team (at various levels) on overall HVAC design/project management ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage the Mechanical Engineering department which includes overseeing staff workload and ensuring the timely completion of all Mechanical/HVAC projects in coordination of other MEP teams and disciplines within the and approves scopes budgets and schedules for assignments; assess overall project and financial supervision and coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the of construction drawings and specifications for public and private relationship building; communicate with clients in support and coordination of all project leadership production and scheduling quality control and cost in possible business development initiatives and client relationships which include attending meetings answering questions and/or providing resolutions to problems/issues that may project meetings pertaining to construction administration; review contractor submittals and provide feedback and clarification when functions/duties as assigned to grow enhance and lead the Mechanical Engineering team and MEP discipline .Education and QualificationsBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineer license required.20 years of overall MEP experience with strong focus on HVAC projects in a consulting firm; must have at least 10 years devoted to project management and development/oversight of have prior experience working with local municipalities/government technical leadership and management skillsDemonstrated ability to manage and lead Mechanical/HVAC staff at various to manage and prioritize Mechanical projects of various complexity levels; demonstrated ability to effectively develop grow and enhance client communication and interpersonal salary range for this role is $135000 - $175000 employment offer may deviate from this publishedrange based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience specialty knowledge education geography and/or related certifications not related to any applicants characteristics protected by local state or federal law.
