Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and review medical histories including vital signs to ensure patient safety.
- Conduct medical imaging procedures as needed ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
