Job Summary

Dental Assistant Moore OK
A dental assistant supports the dentist in delivering quality patient care by preparing patients and treatment areas assisting chairside during procedures maintaining instruments and equipment and ensuring efficient patient flow. The role may support various dental specialties including general dentistry orthodontics pediatric dentistry periodontics and oral surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist orthodontists during a variety of orthodontic procedures
  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms and equipment
  • Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment
  • Assist with brackets bands wires aligners and other orthodontic appliances
  • Take dental impressions digital scans radiographs and orthodontic records as directed
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control procedures
  • Provide patients with instructions regarding oral hygiene braces aligners and appliance care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Coordinate and track orthodontic lab cases and appliances
  • Support efficient patient flow and clinical operations
  • Communicate effectively with patients orthodontists and other team members
  • Maintain a positive and professional patient experience
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a dental assisting program or at least 1 year of dental assisting experience
  • Current dental assisting permit required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Current X-ray certification required for chairside duties
  • Basic computer skills; dental software experience preferred
  • Knowledge of sterilization infection control and dental procedures
  • Strong communication organization and teamwork skills
