Demand Planner, Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS), Inventory Management

Amazons Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is seeking a motivated Demand Planner to join our fast-paced demand planning team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment moves quickly and is eager to learn and grow with our business.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Amazon product categories.
- Analyze sales trends seasonality and promotional impacts to optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain operations and merchandising
- Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new product launches with data-driven forecasting.
- Identify and communicate supply-demand imbalances proactively.
- Create reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
- Participate in weekly and monthly business reviews.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Engineering or a related field
- 2 years of supply chain forecasting manufacturing sourcing/procurement or vendor management experience
- Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale complex datasets
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level including: pivot tables macros index/match vlookup VBA data links etc.
- Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data

- Knowledge of methods for statistical inference (e.g. regression experimental design significance testing)
- Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel Tableau QuickSight MicroStrategy PowerBI)
- Experience with purchasing or inventory management in e-commerce or retail
- 3 years of demand planning and forecasting experience
- Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
- Experience utilizing AI to improve Demand planning and forecasting models

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
