Job Summary
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle to complete scheduled customer deliveries within assigned service areas.
- Load secure transport and unload merchandise while following all safety procedures and DOT requirements.
- Deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction resolving routine delivery questions and escalating issues when necessary.
- Utilize handheld technology to manage delivery routes obtain customer signatures and document delivery completion.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure merchandise is delivered in excellent condition.
- Maintain compliance with company policies vehicle safety standards and applicable transportation regulations.
- Support warehouse operations as needed including pulling stocking staging and inventory-related activities.
- Collaborate with sales operations and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Communicate proactively regarding delivery delays route changes or customer concerns.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED General studies or technical school graduate or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement if applicable
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) between 14500 and 26000 pounds.
- Ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements and maintain required medical certification.
- Ability to safely lift carry push and pull merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds with team - lift support available for heavier items.
- Strong commitment to safety customer service and operational excellence.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime when business needs require.
- DL NUMBER - Driver License Valid and in State
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous route delivery final- mile delivery or customer facing delivery experience.
- Experience operating forklifts order pickers pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Retail logistics or warehouse experience.
- Experience using handheld mobile technology and delivery management systems.
