Delivery and Device Formulation Biochemist

Key Responsibilities

• Formulation Preparation
  • Accurately weigh reagents and excipients per formulation SOPs
  • Mix and prepare formulations according to written protocols
• Analytical Testing (UPLC)
  • Prepare samples and run UPLC for formulation/content analysis
  • Follow SOPs for method setup solvent/mobile phase prep sample injection and data analysis
• Characterization Testing
  • Perform texture analyzer testing on microneedle arrays (e.g. mechanical strength insertion force) per SOP
  • Perform microscopic evaluation of microneedle arrays (e.g. needle integrity morphology) per SOP
  • Maintain accurate lab notebooks/records for all tasks performed
  • Follow all lab safety and documentation standards

Qualifications :

Required Background & Skills

• MS/PhD: 1-2 yrs exp or BS: 3-5 yrs exp
• Hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical biotech or analytical chemistry lab
• Demonstrated experience with formulation prep: accurate weighing calculations and mixing per SOP
• Demonstrated experience running UPLC/HPLC including solvent/mobile phase prep sample injection and data analysis
• Exposure to texture analyzer testing and microscopy are a plus

• Position is full-time working Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m overtime as needed
