Job Description

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. overtime as necessary or required.

Job Description: This position will focus on facility level Food Safety and Quality activities. Primarily responsible for assisting in the management of the food safety program. Assist in assuring that employees follow all food safety legal quality process control policies and regulations. Assist with internal food safety and GMP inspections auditing facility compliance against Company food safety food quality standards and procedures and maintaining internal audit and inspection reports. Keep management informed of conformances non-conformances and deficiencies. Assist in root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions. Assist in the maintenance of food safety and quality systems including verification of records retention and storage of documents and data entry into various forms and spreadsheets. Perform product testing with a high level of accuracy using documented procedures and standards. Employ good laboratory practices including proper labeling and storage of reagents accurate recordkeeping of results and prescribed retention and disposition.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a high school education.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to read speak write and understand the English language fluently.
• Must be willing and able to work independently.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
• Must possess good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs.
• Must be willing and able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to bend stoop push pull twist and turn throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to climb to various levels in the facility using stairs ladders and elevated platforms.
• Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Must be willing and able to follow all Documented and Implemented Producers Rice Mill Inc. policies and procedures (included but not limited to): Human Resources Program Personal Safety Program Food Safety Program and Food Defense Program.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Preferences:

• Experience in Food Safety Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
