What Youll Do as a Data Systems Coordinator Supervisor

Under direct supervision of the Assistant Chief of Central Operations supervise unit of lower-level coordinators in coordinating office automation projects:
Oversee the Deputy Technical Services unit by providing management & supervisory guidance for the statewide Deputy Registrar & Business Application Service System (BASS) &/or Driver Examiner (DX) computer networks; Schedule data & network additions deletions & improvements with multiple vendors; Provide complex technical & procedural support;
Establish priorities & supervise subordinate personnel (e.g. provide developmental opportunities & work direction coach staff to foster development monitor staff activities to ensure quality customer service & information technology security evaluate performance approve section staffing levels recommend discipline pre-screen applications & participate in interviews);
Place track & clear service calls to multiple vendors & reporting data network concerns to Law Enforcement Administrative Data System (LEADS) controlling board;
Collaborate with LEADS network control center to determine network diagnostics; Respond to concerns associated with Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Deputy Registrar Data Network.

Bureau of Motor Vehicles
Oversees driver and motor vehicle licensing and registration and continues to make services more convenient efficient and cost-effective.

Option 1

18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. data processing/computer science (i.e. excludes data entry & keypunch);

AND 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. computer hardware/software systems;

AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. microcomputer minicomputer &/or mainframe application programs;

AND 1 course or 3 mos. operation of computer terminal & peripheral equipment (e.g. printers modems bursters disk & tape drives).

Option2

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science/electronic data processing.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
