Data Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate master data for electronic and non-electronic components ensuring correct part associations and data integrity.
• Communicate directly with manufacturers and vendors to obtain missing or incomplete component data including compliance and environmental information.
• Collect validate and maintain regulatory and sustainability compliance data for PCB and non-PCB components.
• Verify that all collected data is correctly matched to the appropriate part numbers ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain and update reports data records and supporting technical documentation related to component data and compliance.
• Prepare and track metrics related to data completeness accuracy and compliance status. Identify data gaps and work proactively with internal teams and external partners to resolve inconsistencies.
• Update and improve processes and procedures to support efficient data collection and data quality.
• Communicate information clearly and concisely across cross-functional teams.
• Follow and apply SEL Values Principles of Operations and World Class Manufacturing principles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Related associate degree or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data organization validation analysis)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high data accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills including working with external vendors
• Ability to manage multiple data requests and follow through to completion
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new tools systems and processes quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with component data BOMs or engineering systems
• Familiarity with regulatory or environmental compliance requirements
• Experience with databases (SQL Access or similar tools)
• Basic scripting or data automation skills (e.g. Python Power Query)

Pay Range Data

Data Specialist I - $28.04 - $41.43 per hour.

We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
