Requirements

Requirements to Qualify:

Two (2) years of experience leading the development and application of methods to identify collect process and analyze data using advanced statistical prediction inference and optimization and providing ongoing support to decision makers to strengthen data-driven program design and management at a level equivalent to* the Los Angeles County class of Senior Data Scientist.

License:
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

Physical class:

Physical Class 2 Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending stooping or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

Additional points toward the final examination score will be awarded for the following:

  • Experience applying data science methods within healthcare-related projects including work with HIPAA-covered protected health information.

Examination Content:

This examination will consist of an assessment of experience and education based on application information desirable qualifications and supplemental questionnaire information submitted at the time of filing weighted at 100%.

Applicants must receive a passing score of 70% or higher on the assessment to be added to the eligible list.

Eligibility and Vacancy Information:

Applicants who passed the assessment(s) are placed on a list for a period of 12 months. We will use this to fill vacancies as they occur.
