Job Title:
Data Quality Analyst- Stroke Program

Job Summary:
Responsible for the accurate abstraction validation and reporting of clinical data from the electronic health record (EHR). Ensures timely and compliant submission of data to required entities and supports regulatory accreditation and quality improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors degree in health information management nursing or any other field of science

Certifications Licenses or Registration required:

N/A

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in clinical data abstraction registry reporting or healthcare data management. Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) if working in Oncology

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of health records and health record documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with HER systems. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Ability to interpret complex clinical information and apply standardized definitions. Presentation skills and knowledge of the use of personal computers and related software applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze information and draw conclusions. Must have organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Abstracts detailed clinical data from the EHR including patient demographics diagnoses treatments procedures and outcomes.
  • Reviews data for completeness accuracy and consistency and investigates and resolves discrepancies.
  • Accurately completes and submits required regulatory forms.
  • Performs routine data audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to clarify clinical documentation and ensure accurate interpretation and reporting.
  • Tracks reporting deadlines and manage case volumes to ensure timely submission of all required documents.
  • Supports internal and external audits and other regulatory reviews.
  • Generates data reports and summaries related to quality metrics outcomes and program performance.
  • Participates in continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize data abstraction reporting workflows and data integrity.
