Summary:

• Develops data networks and avionics architectures for various aircraft platforms.

• Applies broad experience and knowledge of aircraft systems and their functional and physical integration with other aircraft systems.

• Works with guidance material including Advisory Circulars current compliance paths and rule-making trends related to aircraft data networks and distributed computing.

• Performs cross-functional development and critical analysis with organizations internal and external to Engineering including Flight Test Program Management and Suppliers.

• Plans research and development programs and recommends technological application programs to meet corporate objectives.

• Promotes process initiatives that improve the balance of technical product cost and schedule.

• Applies cutting edge theories and technologies by exhibiting exceptional ingenuity creativity and resourcefulness.

• Champions and develops innovative principles and ideas for new product and business development.

• Acts independently and exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.

• Serves as recognized expert providing consultative services to senior and executive leaders within the company and industry.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• 20 years of experience developing Data Networks or Avionics architectures for various platforms.

• Bachelors Degree in engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 15 years progressively responsible engineering experience in specific technical discipline with Bachelors.

• Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

• Broad experience and knowledge of aircraft systems and their integration with other systems.

• Working knowledge of guidance material including Advisory Circulars compliance paths and rule-making trends.

• Experience with cross-functional development and critical analysis with organizations including Flight Test Program Management and Suppliers.

• Preferred: Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum
